Faith isn’t just believing. It’s knowing. We don’t have to be certain about everything in order to be certain in faith. Certainty of faith is certainty of and in God. It’s saying, “I know God” even when I don’t know the answer. There is a time for everything, and everything on earth has its special season. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) We have favorite seasons of nature, but what about spiritual seasons? You might have a favorite spiritual season, but you cannot live in it every moment of your life. And rather than thrive in the life we have, we strive to create an existence that impresses others. This impossible treadmill leaves us with deep discontentment and a joyless existence.
