I am a Jewish Believer in Jesus/Yeshua. Born and raised in Los Angeles, went to college in Boston at Boston University as an Acting Major, and then graduated Berklee College of Music. I wrote for Music Connection Magazine in L.A. for a time. I have also written for  The Messianic Times for awhile. My first book, "Beauty in the Beast" was originally published by Broadman and Holman. I have also written several devotionals that have been published. Through our ministry, Improbable People Ministries, we have produced and released 8 Cds of original music, and one DVD concert, run a newsletter featuring essays Michael and I each wrote, and now a blog and devotional. 

I came to faith on Yom Kippur 1984. My husband, Michael and I met in a songwriting class and began collaborating together 2-3 years before I came to faith. Michael also came to faith a couple years after me and we married soon after. We started writing songs for the Lord, and then Moishe Rosen of Jews for Jesus heard some of our music and offered to finance our first album in 1989, "Hey God, Are You Talkin' To Me?" Moishe also strongly encouraged us that we should begin our own ministry and he helped us do just that. The presentations/concerts have always been a mix of storytelling/testimony and song. And the ministry appeals primarily to those who are hurting and broken because I share about the damage from my childhood scar when a dog bit me, and I was called "Scarface," and how that influenced every aspect of my life. 

I was 27 when I came to faith and had made a lot of choices that damaged myself much more than the hurts of my childhood. And the Lord has taken me through a process of healing and forgiveness over these last 40 years, a lot of which I share in my first book, "Beauty in the Beast." And that process led to a very unexpected project of healing and reconciliation to the nations, beginning in Germany, which we call A Tour of Roses, which I talk about in my second book, "A Rumor of Roses." As the Lord has expanded our ministry, He has given me more opportunities to speak about what He is doing in and through this particular project of our ministry, and I have seen there is a great need in the church to return to foundational truths such as our identity in the Lord, abiding in the Vine, love and forgiveness in the Body, loving our enemies, and that we belong to the Kingdom and not the world as we face the clash of Culture vs. Kingdom.
