Marlene Lawson is a professional speaker, author, trained Biblical Counselor, and certified Christian Life Coach. With more than 44 years of ministry experience, she brings humor and practical life application to Biblical principles. Marlene’s mission is to challenge women to seek, find, and live out their full potential in Christ.
She is a regular speaker at women's events across the country and has served on the Girlville Getaway cruise speaking team with Servant Heart Ministries.
Marlene laughs and loves alongside her husband, Len, in an old farmhouse full of children and grandchildren in Michigan. Thanks to her family, friends, living arrangements, and upbringing, she is never short on embarrassing stories or lessons she’s learned the hard way.

We had Marlene Lawson speak at a ladies breakfast at our church and we were so blessed! We had a variety of ages represented and her presentation was applicable to all. We recommend her for any setting! You will love the humor and you will also be encouraged to take your next step with Jesus. Talk about getting real!!! Felt like Marlene was telling my story! It was so uplifting to hear her speak. She makes you laugh then goes straight into the word. She allows the Holy Spirit to work through her to really challenge you then backs that up with scripture. She stresses the importance of application yet tells you that we need godly relationships in order to carry this out. I cried every session!! Marlene is a gem!

We have had the privilege to hear Marlene speak on two different occasions. The most recent was a ladies retreat this past weekend. Her straight forward approach to scripture and how it applies to Real Women, Real Life & Real Faith, is incredible. Couple that with her fantastic sense of humor that makes her an absolute joy to not only listen to, but just to be around. I’m not a big reader, but am excited to read her book.

I asked Marlene to be the guest speaker for our ladies group consisting of about 40 women with an average age of 89. Even before she spoke she was making friends going from table to table! Her message to this elderly group was inspiring and heartfelt. She had us laughing, crying happy tears, and feeling good about where we are in this season of life. She became our newest BFF! I would highly recommend Marlene... she is an amazing lady!

I have had the pleasure of hearing Marlene speak on several cruises. I have also gotten to know her on a personal level. She is the same person on stage as she is sitting at the table. She is as authentic as they come. Marlene is also approachable and relates well with people. She speaks truth from God's word and encourages those around her to seek a more personal relationship with Christ. Her take on day to day experiences has helped me to realize that God cares about the little things I go thru. Marlene will make you laugh, cry and she touch your heart. We had Marlene come for a ladies' Christmas event. She was wonderful! Her speaking was, of course, Christmas-themed, but she reached us with practical, applicable truths and encouraged those who don't know the Saviour to seek Him. She was real and relevant. She showed that the Christian life isn't perfection and peace, but seeking Him and talking Truth to yourself brings peace. She also weaves humor throughout! She had us all laughing at times.

Marlene spoke at our Retreat for Michigan Administrators in Ministry, a chapter of PAUMCS, last Monday! She was fabulous! Funny, spiritual, irreverent, uplifting, and just really wonderful and friendly and easy to get to know! Marlene was the speaker for our annual Women’s Celebration, a day we celebrate the women in our church and community, and inspire them to be all they can be as Christian women. Marlene was a total delight, from our back and forth emails planning the event, to her arrival at our celebration! She was wonderful to work with, very prompt on answering all of my emails, and patient as I screwed up some of my messages! She had the group of about 80 women, howling with laughter, seriously soul searching, inspiring us to go to God’s word and really know it, and encouraging us to be o.k. For my daughters Wedding Shower we were going to have over 75 people, so we chose to have a speaker instead of opening gifts.
