Lisa Renee’ Bouknight is a humble and grateful servant of the Lord. She is passionate about prayer, teaching the Word of God, evangelism, and the youth. She has a heart of worship. Lisa is a committed and dedicated member of the Second Refreshing Spring COGIC in Washington, DC. There she serves faithfully beside her husband. She is the president of the Women’s Department, Youth Department coordinator, and Sunday school teacher for the adult class. She is married to Pastor Kimus J. Bouknight and together they have seven children and twelve grandchildren.
Lisa surrendered her life to the Lord, in 1980 under the leadership of Bishop Frank White Sr. of Mt. Zion COGIC, Freeport, New York during a watch night service. She was licensed as Evangelist in May of 1991 by the late Pastor James Staggers, New Tabernacle Baptist Church, Bronx, New York. Lisa also received an Evangelist license under the leadership of Pastor James E. Jordan Jr. Refreshing Spring COGIC, Riverdale, Maryland.
She is a graduate of New York Theological Seminary, Queens Broadcasting School and Refreshing Spring Bible College. She has traveled the country ministering in revivals, workshops, seminars, and conferences, and has done extensive prison ministry in Riker’s Island, Queens, Upstate New York, and Towson, Maryland. And she serves as an Angel Tree Volunteer. She is the District Missionary for the Great Commission District; the Pastor’s Wives Circle and was blessed to minister in the Sunday School Department Workshop entitled “Investing in Leadership Ministry” during the 2013 AIM Convention. Lisa is the president of “Arise Daughters of Zion Ministries, LLC.” She is one of the contributing authors for a book entitled And He Still Hears. She appeared as returning guest on The Daughters of Distinction Live Broadcast Television show. She also teaches the book of Proverbs, and two favored workshops entitled “Personalities in the Church How they both help or Hinder Growth” and “Gifted to Serve – Understanding your Spiritual Gifts.”
Her life is a testimony to the power of God’s deliverance and grace ~ Ephesians 2:8-10. She has completely surrendered and committed her life and ministry into the hands of Almighty God.
