Emotions saturate Scripture. God is an emotional God—not in the same way we talk about an emotional woman or emotional person. But God is certainly aware of the runaway emotions we’re referring to when we put a negative spin on emotions. We can’t escape God’s presence. That means he sees and hears alongside us, including our (often messy) emotions. God didn’t mess up his design...

Prepare yourself for the journey of a lifetime, because you are being positioned to encounter the presence of God in your personal quiet time. In the Old Testament before the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into their Promised Land, the Lord told Joshua to take 12 stones from the middle of the very waters that were separating them from their freedom. The people were to erect a memorial with these large boulders. The Lord explained to Joshua that these stones would cause people to ask what they were, and give opportunity to tell future generations how the God of Israel delivered them from slavery...

Do you live under constant pressure? Does it feel like a world of stress and anxiety is weighing down on you? I’ve been there, too. But instead, because of God’s presence, success, confidence and peace now shine in my life. And you can triumph, too. I will show you how. I’m honored to point...
