Lore Cottone was born and raised in Kentucky. Although her family attended church, she was the first of her family to begin a personal relationship with Christ. When she was 13 years old, Lore gave her life to Christ at a church camp. She attended Liberty University and pursued a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Lore enjoyed working in the adoption field for some time before marrying the love of her life, Michael. Lore and Michael have been married for 28 years and have four sons, Graham, Jake, Titus and Blake. When children came along Lore was blessed to be able to stay at home with them for almost 18 years. At that time God gave her the opportunity to be the founding Executive Director of a pro-life, non-profit ministry in Austin, TX. After six years, she was then led to leave this position to begin writing a book about raising her oldest son and what God did to bring her peace in the chaos. It is Lore's great hope that God will use their story to comfort and inspire many. Michael and Lore now live in Dripping Springs, Texas and attend One Chapel Church in Austin, Texas where she serves as a leader/teacher.
Lore has a passion to see God reach hearts and transform lives. Even before God impressed upon Lore to write a book about her journey as a parent, she felt His anointing to minister to women. She loves to inspire them towards a closer walk with Jesus. Lore is a gifted story teller and LOVES to tell God stories with humor and animation. She will have you laughing one minute, and the next, her vulnerability and poignant use of scripture will pierce hearts and motivate application.
You can always expect Lore to share personal stories of her ongoing faith journey with transparency and depth. She will also spend time praying and ministering personally to those in need if time permits at the end of your event.

Lore was fantastic!! She is funny, and she is honest. Lore is without a doubt, a godly woman who put her hope in Jesus, and not in people or things of this world. So many women commented that they really needed to hear what she was speaking on, "Choosing Hope". I watch the ladies as they would come, one by one to talk with her. She gave each one her complete and full attention. I highly recommend her!!

Lore blessed our MOPS group by sharing her story. Lore is an awesome speaker. She is real, down to earth and has been there... and done more. She has an amazing testimony of letting go and trusting God. She can relate to what you are going through or have been through. She takes a tough situation and instead of moping or having a pity party she laughs about the craziness and is able to joke about the lemons in life. Choosing a person to speak for an event is not an easy task and requires faith that God is leading you to the right person! From communicating with Lore up until the retreat, to the end of our one day retreat over a year later, we were affirmed over and over that we had made the right choice. Throughout the 3 sessions, Lore shared insights into our topic/theme, challenged us to go deeper in our faith, made us laugh and cry, and told us her impactful story. Lore loves Jesus. What an absolute wonderful experience it was to have Lore come to our annual Women's Conference here at New Hope! Lore was down to earth, funny at times, very comfortable and most importantly knowledgeable about God's Word! Do yourself a favor and book Lore now! She is kind, relevant, compelling, engaging and encouraging. She speaks truth from the heart, using both humor and heart break. Lore has the unique qualification of being both a speaker and a nonprofit Exec who books the speakers, so she gets both sides. When it comes to sharing the love of Jesus, Lore brings authenticity and grace. As a team, we prayed our event would bring women closer to Christ, especially in these difficult times. We prayed for "realness" and Lore was unaware of our prayers. She knocked it out of the park. In her humility. I'm certain she will say it was God talking through her and yes, it was. However, she was the most willing vessel for her message. Since our conference, we have heard over and over how "real" our speakers were most of all Lore. Lore did such an amazing job of encouraging, equipping, and empowering the women of our church to put and keep our hope not in an outcome, but in Jesus Himself! Through personal and relatable stories from her own life, she gave practical examples of how to do this in the face of difficulty and disappointment. The evening was full of laughter, tears, and the presence of Jesus:) So many ladies have told me how Lore’s message was just what they needed to hear and how timely it was in their season of life. You must have her come invest in the women of your church!

Lore is an incredible and gifted speaker. The thing I appreciate most about Lore is her ability to relate to people. As a mother, I felt understood. As a woman in ministry, I felt understood, as a child of God, in a broken world, I felt understood. Lore came and lead such a wonderful study for our women’s ministry. Her humor, senserity and honesty made this so amazing. We all learned through her personal testimony how we too can find peace and Jesus’ presence in the midst of chaos. We have now some scriptures to lean on and a hope that we may not have had before this study! Thank you for your obedience in writing this book Lore!! You were such a huge blessing to us all. Lore recently taught a 4 week series on her book, "Nothing is Wasted" for us. Such an amazing time was had by all. Lore is so relevant, and her knowledge of the word of God is such a blessing. Her desire to come alongside of others to pray, teach, listen, guide them is priceless. She is truly an anointed teacher. I recommend her 100%!

Lore is an inspiring speaker, not only because she knows how to engage an audience (which she does) or tell a good story (which she does) but because of the care that she takes to see her audience encounter the love of God. Lore has amazing insight into the hearts of women because of her own life experiences. Her personal story is an amazing testimony of the faithfulness of God. Lore is engaging, fun, poignant, with a strong foundation in the Word of God. Lore would be a great asset in any setting!
