I was radically saved in 1988! At 22, I was introduced to Jesus and said, "yes," and NOTHING has ever been the same. I am a high school dropout who spent time in juvenile hall, and I spent most of my youth "wasted" from drugs and alcohol. I was also a hard worker and had countless jobs, including being a stripper for bachelor parties and a club dancer. Shortly after becoming a Christian, I got clean & sober through Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and have 35 years of sobriety. I sponsor many women and am very active in the recovery community. I have also been given the gift of spiritual & emotional healing from multiple abortions. I love to share the hope of forgiveness & healing with women who still suffer from the guilt and shame of their abortions.
After I gave my life to Christ and submitted to His authority, I quickly realized what a gift I had been given in a second chance at life, and I poured all my energy into helping others. I started serving at my 5,000-member church, Menlo Park Presbyterian and was eventually brought on to the Young Adults Leadership Team. Then, I was groomed to be the youngest Deacon the church had ever had in its 100+ year history. After 5 years, I was hired onto the staff at Menlo and worked there for several years.
I married an incredible Christian man in 1993, and we moved our membership to Central Christian Church in 1996. I have served at Central on the Women's Ministry Team, the Prayer Ministry, the Deacon Ministry, and the Recovery Ministry and held various leadership positions. I also sat on two pastoral search committees. I have served with Living Water in Nicaragua and AIM - Agape International Ministries in Cambodia. I led a missions team to Cambodia and spearheaded a giving campaign at our church to raise funds to build a school in Svay Pak, Cambodia. I've also been a Project Coordinator for Beautiful Day.
Today, I am a Christian Speaker, certified Life Coach, mom, grandma, and daughter of the King! My life is full of hope, forgiveness, miracles, and, most of all, gratitude!
