Sharon Hurkens is a co-pastor, with her husband of 31 years, at East Rockway Church. As an author, missions advocate and speaker, with a B.S. in Nutritional Counseling, she compassionately encourages women, through Scripture, life stories and humor, to shed away the things that keep them from walking in God's grace and power.

Sharon has been in the ministry with her husband for over 31 years. She co-pastors with him on Long Island, New York. Having personally experienced God's rescuing touch from the grip of debilitating illness, deep despair and impending death, Sharon brings God's hope and healing to audiences everywhere by helping people "shed-away" the things that bind them, enabling them to walk freely in God's grace and power. Sharing the awesome faithfulness of God comes naturally to her. Stressing the importance of an active faith, Sharon taps into her training as a life and success coach. She holds a B.S.c., in Nutritional Counseling. Her heart is to clearly communicate the deep truths of Scripture. Sharon's story, message and life will inspire and challenge any audience.
