Mindy Reid-Glaser: Ministering New Life and Encouragement to the Broken Hearted

Mindy Reid-Glaser is an ordained minister and a passionate Christian singer-songwriter who has a passion to minister to the broken hearted, hopeless, discarded and those who simply lost their faith. At 29, after a profound spiritual encounter, Mindy was filled with the Holy Spirit, which ignited a burning desire within her to dedicate her life solely to singing songs of praise and worship rooted in the Holy Scriptures, and study and proclaim God’s Word. This marked a significant shift from her previous career as a secular jazz and R&B singer, where she had trained through earned talent scholarships to complete a bachelor's degree in vocal performance.

At 31, Mindy married a devoted man who served as a full-time Assistant Pastor for the last seven years of his life, passionately teaching the Word, proclaiming the Gospel, and operating in the gifts of the Spirit until he was called home at 44. Through her marriage, Mindy gained invaluable insights into the various facets of ministry, both to believers and non-believers.

For 35 years, Mindy has served her church in various capacities, except for an 11-year period where she dedicated herself to raising their son, who was diagnosed with autism and homeschooled during that time. After her husband passed away in 2008, Mindy returned to her church work just six weeks later and currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Pastor.

Mindy’s music ministry has been extensive. She has sung and soloed in choirs, and for a decade, she was a member of a contemporary Gospel group that won the title of Best Contemporary Gospel Group in Southern California at the Walt Disney Gospel Fest. She has performed as a background singer for a Grammy Award-winning Gospel artist in front of 17,000 people in Trinidad, and as a soloist, she has ministered in Japan and throughout the U.S.

Mindy frequently ministers through song and word at Women’s Fellowships, Retreats, Prison Ministries, Homeless Shelters, Juvenile Homes, and various Christian ministries. Early in her ministry, she received a proclamation from the Mayor of Los Angeles for her music ministry to the community, particularly to displaced individuals. Together with her late husband, Pastor Michael Reid, she also traveled as a guest speaker at Women’s Bible Studies. During the pandemic, Mindy taught courses at two Los Angeles Bible Colleges to international students, covering topics like the Gospel of Mark, Proverbs, Spiritual Warfare, and more.

Her passion lies in sharing the Gospel through her music, which she views as a gateway to introduce listeners to the love and power of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. After her husband's passing, Mindy met a Christian composer whom she eventually married. Together, they compose and arrange unique and powerful Messianic songs in various musical genres. He not only supports her teaching ministry but also serves as her spiritual covering and protector.

 Mindy’s favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 1:27-28 (ESV): “But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are.”
