More About Janis Walton

Janis Walton is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who wears many hats: mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife, missionary, truth seeker and speaker, teacher, professional singer, and university professor. With over 40 years of ministry experience, Janis has a unique and engaging style that combines personal anecdotes—from encounters with tarantulas to language mishaps, lawn chairs, puppies, and even chickens—all woven into her ministry. Her passion for life and faith is contagious, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

Currently, Janis serves as a stateside missionary with Eben-Ezer Mission in Gonaïves, Haiti, working remotely from her home in Idaho due to increasing instability in Haiti. She is also the Marketing Director for Shining Light Productions, collaborating with individuals and nonprofit organizations on documentary production, podcasts, events, and speaker training.

Janis is available for speaking engagements and travel anywhere in the United States, bringing her joy, experience, and wisdom to every audience she meets.

She can tailor her speaking around your scripture and event theme. Janis has been speaking since 1989, in the state of California, Idaho and Utah. And she spoke for Lifeway at their You Lead Conference, speaking and serving on their ministry panel in Boise.

Her background also includes in vocal performance, directing and studio recording and touring, which includes serving as a voice specialist for The Sun Valley Music Festival's year round school of music for twelve years. And she has served as worship leader in her church for twelve years and as a worship team member for many years.  Janis has also evaluated worship teams and taught worship leading seminars. And she home-educated her own children for 14 years and was a speaker for The California Homeschool Network.
