A former news anchor and reporter, Brenda Viola is also an award-winning communicator and author. However, she chuckles that clients are most curious about her brief career as a QVC Show Host!
In 2018 she created ME (Municipal Education) Seminars to address challenges faced by public servants. Her decade as Public Information Officer for a Philadelphia suburb informed her well-received keynotes and workshops. The American Library Association (ALA), American Public Works Association (APWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and many other organizations engage Brenda Viola to inform and inspire their audiences.
This niche market grew organically with the 2020 publication of her book, The Public Servants’ Survival Guide. Audiences from both the public and private sectors resonated with the message that answered the question, “How can you reclaim joy in work and life?” The ten points outlined in the book provide the framework for a transformative workshop helping participants recognize signs of burnout and course correct. A Certified Virtual Speaker, Brenda Viola connects effectively via camera or in-person.
A move to La Jolla, California in 2023 saw the formation of Vici Communications LLC and a return to Brenda's first love: Encouraging women with the Word of God. Her new church home at La Jolla Christian Fellowship enabled this self-described prodigal daughter to enjoy the restoration of her life in God and the beauty of moving in the spiritual gifts of prophecy, word of knowledge, and healing. She marvels with gratitude at how true it is that "the gifts and calling of God are without repentance."
Vici Communications LLC grew and in April 2024 she published two more books - How to be Heard Without Screaming! and a children's picture book, Annabelle the Octopus. As an architect of regional and nationally recognized workplaces, she often speaks about organizational culture, and is a sought-after consultant to help organizations define their core values, infuse their teams with appreciation, and create environments where people love to work.
Encouragement is at the heart of Brenda’s messages, which are backed by extensive research and filled with humor and candor. Her personal stories of love, loss, and lessons learned open the door for her audiences to bravely reflect on their own lives. She sees breakdowns as gateways to breakthroughs, and she finds fulfillment serving as a catalyst for decisions that yield lasting, positive impacts. "All of the classes I've created for secular audiences are infused with scriptural wisdom that truly changes lives," shares Brenda. "The merging of the secular with the sacred is my dream come true, thanks to the faithfulness of God."
A Philadelphia-area native, she now enjoys her La Jolla home base, enjoying regular walks to enjoy the sunset over the Pacific Ocean and relishing her favorite Zumba classes or singing karaoke (badly, but with enthusiasm.) She is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA).
