In the wake of dealing with the destructiveness of an abusive home and dysfunctional family throughout her years as a child and teen, TaJuana is now committed to minister and mentor families through their own destructiveness, in hopes of breaking the "generational cycle" of these toxic behaviors which are unknowingly passed down to their children . TaJuana is known for her knowledge in a variety of family and personal issues, and well versed in the field of mental health. Her energetic and honest approach quickly allows the audience to see her ability to relate on a personal basis, Sharing truth with love best describes TaJuana's sensitivity, yet with passion - while assisting others to discover freedom from the heavy weight from their own personal issues. With a touch of humor, when appropriate to lesson the intensity and push through these tough topics, you will fall in love with her personal touch and serving heart TaJuana is both approachable one on one, and has a dynamic approach when talking with groups.
TaJuana is both a licensed social worker and holds a diploma as a Professional Christian Life Coach and is a Christian Addiction and Recovery Coach, Certified Batterers Intervention Provider, and Certified Mental Health Coach.
She works in church ministry, alongside husband Terry, a licensed and ordained minister and have three adult children.
TaJuana is also a Christian speaker and author of "Fifty Years to Say I Love You", a women's study offering Hope for Broken Relationships, Healing from Trauma, & Passages to Recovery.
"Fifty Years to Say I Love You" is a Christian women's study which includes a workbook to assist in your own journey toward Healing & Recovery from your past pain.
TaJuana is also founder, president, and director of Living Hope Ministries. Living Hope Ministries is a Christ based non-profit organization and offers strengthening tools for parents, including dealing with struggling teens and a variety of addictions, life controlling issues, sessions for those struggling with marriage and family issues, domestic violence issues, ministering to children who are dealing with the strong impacts of divorce - while also mentoring their parents of understanding their child's needs during the process of their divorce, and sessions for those needing positive alternatives to anger. TaJuana also provides services for Parental Capacity Evaluations at the request of the Cabinet of Family and Children or the court system.
"When experiencing years of severe illness of my husband, and later with trauma related issues with our oldest son, which resulted in long term and intense therapeutic recovery 2000 miles from home, it was then that the impacts of my past pain from childhood and teen years of abuse (which i had kept so carefully locked away) soon began to surface due to triggers from the current trauma I was now facing in my own family".
" I had a choice: remain stuck in the details from my past, at a great cost to my well being, or remove what's been causing my souls disease to interfere with everything I desired to be relationally linked to - my marriage, my children, and even my relationship with God.
There's nothing pleasant about regurgitating: however, the effort of doing so brought great freedom and forgiveness, as the replacement of this weight led to a positively beautiful outcome".
