This is a five session retreat format studying the contrasts of pride and humility based on the book of 1 Samuel. The sessions are as follows:
1. Blessed Humility - a study of the contrast between Hannah and Peninnah
2. Faithful Humility - a study of the contrast between the prophet Samuel and Eli, the Priest
3. A personal devotion time where participants get alone with the Lord, their Bibles, a devotional study guide, and a cup of tea or coffee to spend time alone searching the scriptures. The emphasis of this time alone is our personal pride and humilty from God's perspective.
4. Essential Humility - a study in the contrast between King Saul and His son and David's friend, Jonathan
5. Exalted Humility - a study in the contrast between David and Saul
