As a pastor's wife and a certified teacher, I have had numerous opportunities to teach women and children about the love of Jesus in various group settings from our ladies' bible class at church to a backyard bible study at an emergency women's shelter. I have also had the opportunity to utilize my counseling degree and work with my husband to provide pastoral counseling to couples and families at our local church.
As I was facing my retirement from the public school system in 2014, God revealed to me that He wanted me to host women's conferences and literally gave me the format and full details overnight. Over the course of the next few months I created Hearts 4 Worship Women's Ministry and began planning my first conference. This ministry has provided me with numerous opportunities to speak and teach other women about the love of Jesus through women's conferences at different venues. Through donations made to this ministry I have also had the opportunity to minister throughout our community and state through the provision of a room, a bus ticket, a meal, clothes, and/or a blessing bag with a Bible for those less fortunate. It is my desire to bless others as God continues to bless me!
Update: Fast forward 9 years after retirement, and God has placed me in a Christian academy as the Guidance Counselor. I now have the opportunity to share the gospel within the classroom and through my position as the Guidance Counselor. I have published one Bible study, Living Like Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane to the Cross of Calvary, and two devotional books which can be found on Amazon. I am still available for speaking engagements and look forward to allowing God to use me since He has so richly blessed me.
