Our families are as unique as our cups of coffee. They look different because they are supposed to. Many things shape what we call our family. Will we repeat our version of our childhood experience, will we look to culture for the guidelines, will we trust our new mom instinct? Figuring this out on our own is overwhelming.
Whether changing diapers, in the throws of teenage roller coasters, or navigating a crisis you don’t even have the words to articulate, Coffee House Parenting let’s share our coffee, stir in faith, and together, pour Jesus into our families.
Author Laurie Devernoe (and her husband Ron) were blessed with triplet girls, then 18 months later, along came a son. With FOUR babies under age two, Laurie relied on her faith in Jesus and a lot of coffee to persevere. Eight years later, another son joined the family. In Coffee House Parenting, Laurie shares stories of her family through the stages of parenting and creatively relates these to the ways we take our coffee.
