More About Sandra Jolla

Joy4Life Ministry founded by Sandra Reese Jolla serves as a conduit to share the goodness of God's Word in ministry to Women and Young Professionals.

 Mrs. Jolla, who spent over 35 years in corporate America has a unique way of using the skills developed to challenge and uplift women.  Professionally, she is a veteran business woman, having retired from IBM after 32 years and Comerica Bank for 7 years.  She challenges women and other  professionals to discover the goodness of Christ as they move through the seasons of Life.  

 Her energetic and real world approach, challenges her audiences to understand God's Word, while discovering God's purpose for their lives.  A native of Alabama, she recognizes and shares how God's hand of love, protection and promise has been upon her life as she moved from the inner city projects, to corporate America and to the role of "First Lady" ministering along with her husband, Rev. Dr. Michael A. Jolla, Senior Pastor of the "Exciting" West End Baptist Church.

 Her passion for young women has motivated her as she works with debutantes across the State of Texas through the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas-Women and Girls Conference as Debutante Coordinator.  Her first 'Solo' book, "The Joy in my Journey with Cancer" is an Amazon BEST SELLER and chronicles her journey with Breast Cancer.

She is currently writing her second  book "Becoming Young Women of Excellence: By Godly Design" which focuses on Biblical standards, etiquette and social graces for young women.  She is also co-authoring a "Baptist Church New Member Orientation" book with her husband.

Sandra has achieved many accolades and awards both professionally, civically and on the Spiritual front, including IBM Distinguished Performer,  Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas recognized her as a “Leadership and Legacy honoree in 2006; and with their ‘Hannah’ award in 2008; Business Professional Woman of the Year- North Dallas Professional Business Women in 2005, elected as an “Outstanding Woman” in the DFW area by the National Council of Negro Women, Minnie Winslow Page Section, April 2004; 1st Black Woman to receive the ‘Key to the City’ of Greenville, Texas for city wide community and humanitarian involvement;  featured in Rita Morgan’s book, ‘Come Sunday Morning’.  She  is actively engaged with the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas Women and Girls Conference where she serves as Debutante Coordinator for the past 10 years, and writer and presenter on the Leadership development team for 11 years. Sandra has recently been asked to serve as President of the Minister's Wives Ministry for the San Antonio Guadalupe District.  She is an active member of Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and serves as President of the Board for the San Antonio Ivy Educational Fund, the 501C3 Community Services Fund of her chapter. She received the Top Ladies of Distinction Spirit Award in 2018.
