LaTashia C. Satterfield-Ogunlana (O-gun-la-na) is an animated, interactive speaker with a vast history in ministry, finance and accounting. Come to be inspired, empowered, and equipped, and leave invigorated to journey forward with tools to live a better life personally, spiritually, relationally, financially and socially.

Affectionately called Rev. O.  She was ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 2004. She preaches and presents workshops in the areas of self-esteem; Womanism, female issues; relationships and sex education, finances, and African Culture and Religion.  She has presented workshops for youth and adults in order to furnish tools to enhance them spiritually, physically, and emotionally. 

Rev. O traveled to Accra, Ghana, West Africa, in 2003 where she preached and taught Biblical studies, church history, and Systematic Theology for the Spring Semester at Maranatha Bible College.  She funded this project by raising over $7,000 for her trip to teach students in the Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor programs.

Rev. Ogunlana has preached and presented workshops in Abuja, Nigeria, Bologna, Italy; Accra, Ghana; Dr. Jazz Ministries Galentine 2022, Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) 2012 Conference, during the National Forum for Black Public Administrators at the 2012 Awards Gala, at the African American Family Reunion Conference, and at the New Light Leadership Coalition, Inc. (NLLC) Conference and at the Potomac District Education Conference.  She was the Chief Financial Officer and board member for NLLC, a youth organized and operated non-profit that promotes youth leadership.  Rev. Ogunlana is active in the church and her community where she is a minister at Victory Grace Center located in Bowie Maryland. She is active in Sisters with Victory Ministry (SWV) along with Victory On-line at VGC(VLive 120).

 

Rev O has managed over 600 million US dollars in USAID funding, over 10 million in World Bank/Global Funds, 35 million in Gates Foundation funding, National Institute of Health, and millions in grants from US Department of Education and Department of Labor.  She saved the US government over 300 million while working to shut down two Department of Transportation projects in 2003.  She worked as one of about 20 staffers at the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund in 2006.  She held the position of President for the Nation’s Capital Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants until June 2024.


Her educational training in Catholic elementary and secondary schools enabled her to pursue a Master of Divinity at Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology after completing her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  In February 2011, she earned an Associate Certificate in Project Management from ESI & George Washington University.  May 2021, she earned an IMA Data Analytics & Visualization Fundamentals Certificate.
