CARNELA RENEÉE HILL has a diverse background advocating for small and women-owned businesses, education, and marginalized people around the globe. She is an author and co-author of several books including “Walking Afraid”, “Walking Afraid Journal”, and “The Fight: Declaring to Win”. She is a former interior design and business instructor. She is a former interior design and business instructor. She uses her faith and 24+ years as an entrepreneur to mentor and coach in the marketplace. Carnela has received numerous awards and accolades, including the National Association of Women Business Owners Advocacy of the Year Award. She holds a Master of Arts in Computer Science from NC A&T SU, an Executive MBA from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in Christian Practices from Duke Divinity School. As an international speaker and inspirational strategist, she has empowered many people with her life story, including the life-changing opportunity to decorate at the White House. She is the CEO and Principal Designer of CR Hill Design Group and CEO of C3 Impact Strategies, a firm that provides coaching, chaplain, and consulting services for start-ups, executives, and those needing spiritual direction. Carnela serves on several boards and is member of several organizations. She is an advocate and advisor that speaks on behalf of small businesses to the White House. She is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Be Restored Church (nondenominational church) and Founder and CEO of Thrive Resource Center (nonprofit). The Thrive Resource Center goes into underserved communities to educate, equip and empower the youth and young adults, especially those that have been labeled as less likely to succeed, with skills to not just survive, but to thrive and work through life challenges. With a determination to win souls to Jesus Christ, Carnela is a true missionary, going to nations to do the work of the Lord with a servant's heart. Her ministry work is often in the marketplace and in unconventional places. Carnela is a servant leader with a drive to see people healthy and whole. One of her favorite scriptures, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).” This scripture helps to keep Carnela grounded in her faith. God has given Carnela a burden to fight for justice, help the marginalized and those that do not know how to exercise their voice. Carnela takes her burden serious as she goes into places that others are afraid to travel. It is not unusual to find Carnela surrounded by young people as she pours into them and empower them to walk by faith. Carnela is an avid reader. She enjoys shopping, spending time with family and making a difference in the community, as well as traveling and trying new dishes. In her spare time, she is working on her Doctorate in Ministry.
