Chaconna Downs uses her love for Christ and gift of encouragement as the dynamic duo for ministry. Coming from a large but close-knit family only fueled her passion and created a desire to see broken people and families restored, healed and made whole.
In 2012 she earned her Masters of Social Work from Asbury University. At the same time, Chaconna was under the leadership and training of Pastor Larry Weathers, to become a licensed, ordained minister and pastor. Later that year she, along with a team of ministers from The Revolution Mark 16:20, would go on to plant and co-pastor the Berea location of the ministry. A burden for taking Jesus outside the four walls was the seed that grew Loved Right Ministries. The ministry modeled in servant leadership launched in 2014 with the sole purpose of meeting people right where they are to share the love of Christ.
Relocation to Daytona Beach birthed her first published book, Simple Sayings: Sprinkles of Encouragement. A new ministry assignment would be the catalyst for the next two books and #UntilHeArrives, the singles ministry that she now Pastors. Pastors Marcus and Cassandra Jordan invited Chaconna to be a part of the leadership team at Connect Church of Central Florida and utilize what God had already birthed in #UntilHeArrives. Chaconna serves the community professionally through family preservation and safety services. She is blessed to share her gifts in Central Florida and abroad through books, blogging, and public speaking.
