Colette and her husband Bryce live on the plains of South Dakota with their fur baby, Ahsoka (a cat that they swore they would never have)! They also have three adult children who are all married, and two grandbabies. Beyond writing and family, Colette and her husband are home missionaries as they serve as senior pastors at New Hope Church on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. Colette thoroughly enjoys teaching women’s Bible studies and singing on the worship team. In her spare time, Colette has a private music studio.
Colette's books include Expecting Jesus: An Advent Devotional, Planted: A Guided Study to Produce a Peace-Filled Life in an Anxiety-Filled World, and God Is Bigger: 50 Scriptures and Prayers to Help Conquer Cancer. She has also been published in Whispers of Grace, a collection of writings from women across the US and Canada. You can get weekly encouragement from Colette's blogs and her and her husband's podcast, Bringing Hope Home, at Schafferministries.com.
