Linessa Frazier, the daughter of Alonzo and Liz Walker, is originally from South Carolina and a graduate of Fisk University (Nashville, Tennessee) with degrees in Political Science and English. She has a passion for speaking and seeks opportunities to feed that passion regularly in her duties as the First Lady of Southwest Baptist Church (Topeka, Kansas) and the wife of Pastor Carl Frazier. Linessa is the Director of Christian Education at Southwest Baptist where she teaches Sunday School and has participated in the following activities throughout her Christian service:
At home, Linessa holds the title of Chief Entertainment Officer and has three beautiful children (LaRonte 33, Carleigh 20, and Emersen 17) with a granddaughter, Tori (9) and grandson, Asa (6).
Linessa and her family reside in Topeka, Kansas and she is a is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Topeka, a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and The Topeka Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and President of the Kansas City Kansas chapter of Jack and Jill of America.
Never one to be idle, Linessa’s has served on the boards of the Shawnee County Extension Service, Topeka Civic Theatre, the Antioch Family Life Center and is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society as a breast cancer survivor.
Linessa’s current project is the manuscript for her book Leaving a Legacy of Leadership, focusing on the parental challenges of raising young leaders. Linessa’s mantra is that strong, young leaders don’t just happen, they’re built and cultivated with a foundation rooted in faith.
