Deb Gruelle (grew-WELL) is an ECPA bestselling and award-winning, multi-published author for both children and adults.
A recovering Silicon Valley technical writer, Deb has been featured on multiple radio broadcasts including Family Life Today, Currently, she serves as the chaplain for a Christian writers’ organization, and enjoys frequently speaking or teaching the Bible at conferences.
In addition to her wildly popular children's books, Gruelle also authored, Aching for a Child, an adult nonfiction book for women dealing with the medical, ethical, and spiritual issues women often face during infertility and miscarriage. She’s written over 100 articles for women's and parenting magazines including American Baby and Bay Area Parent, storyboards for children's games, devotions, and technical documentation for the computer and telecommunications industries.
Because of her compassion for those who face hardships, Deb has volunteered: as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) to help children in foster care navigate the court system, at her local women and children’s shelter, and as a coach with Habitat for Humanity. Deb has a special connection with women who are worn out, whether they're struggling to build a family, young moms just trying to make it to naptime, or women of any age who need an extra dose of encouragement to thrive.
And as a certified life coach, she’s passionate about helping each client clarify their issues and strengths so they can take their next step toward the dream in their hearts. She often works with writers and loves to encourage them to turn their God-given dreams into tailor-made plans that propel them toward their writing goals.
Deb enjoyed homeschooling her three multi-ethnic children (now adults), who joined her family by both birth and adoption. She's always open to eating dessert first. (DebGruelle.com)
