Barbara Anne Fillion began singing in her hometown church in Brookfield CT. In 2014 she and her husband moved to Virginia to be closer to family. She is a music artist advocate for Compassion International.
Barbara's latest CD, Where Angels Fly, contains the theme song she wrote for Compassion International, "Let The Children Come". The album features uptempo, hand-clappin' songs as well as moving ballads all communicating the gospel message. Her lyrics are spirited and compassionate and clearly resonate her love for Jesus.
Barbara Anne sings and shares testimony of the beautiful gospel message and how the Lord has given her strength to endure hardships in her life, and tell of His unconditional love and promises. Her care giving journey drew her closer to the Lord and her desire is to encourage others that though God's plan isn't always easy we can trust the only One who is in complete control and His ways are perfect. She enjoys singing and sharing at woman's events, concerts, conferences and senior events. She has a heart for women of all ages and underprivileged children.
High On That Mountain, Barbara's first Christian release is an eclectic blend of Gospel music, capturing Southern, and Country traditions, with a trace of Celtic influence. From earthy and energetic to contemplative and melodic, this album features rich, compassionate vocals and a heart of acousticism.
Sadly Barbara’s husband Philippe went to be with the Lord in September of 2019 after a five year battle with ALS aka Lou Gehrig disease.
A note from Barbara…
Dear family and friends,
Thank you for all the support and love we received during this difficult time. I thank my Lord that He enabled me to fulfill Philippe’s wishes to keep and care for him in our home. We had good days, sad days and everything in between, we laughed and we cried, but knew deep inside the Lord would carry us through this journey and have the victory in this battle. It has been five years ago today September 28, the day Philippe went to His Heavenly Father to live in eternal joy.
