Kristine is currently a senior systems engineer at Honeywell Aerospace working on the first and only FAA certified (SDA) precision landing system which has been installed at many airports around the world and also leading a team in qualification testing of a new navigation product, Global Positioning Attitude Heading Reference System, for various aircraft. In her 20+ years at Honeywell, she has gained extensive experience on inertial navigation systems for commercial and military aircraft which integrate data from GPS, inertial sensors, and air pressure inputs and for which she received the Honeywell Technical Achievement award. Kristine’s journey toward an aerospace career began with a 3rd-place national science award when she was in 10th grade, followed the next year by an all-day plant tour of Boeing's 747 production facility in Seattle, Washington. She pursued a bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota and graduated cum laude.
Outside of work, Kristine enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage daughters, studying the Bible, scrapbooking, cooking, volunteering in her community, and exercising. She leads a small group study, gives presentations at churches and schools, and mentors others on various apologetic topics especially the integration of God's world and God's word. Kristine has written blogs for BioLogos and Christian Women in Science. Kristine is also a professional face painter.
