Unpacked is a topic that came to me as I thought about all the small victories I’ve had in my life so far. This concept came to me when I began to do counseling again due to dealing with depression and anxiety like never before. I was shocked to realize that there were still many things I hadn’t addressed emotionally. During my quiet time I saw a picture of our coat closet. I saw myself standing in front of it-opening it just to find that loads of suitcases were piled in there and imploding out from the closet because the door could no longer contain it. That was a perfect picture of my inner world at that time. My inner sanctuary, as I like to call it; was a mess! It was time to lay everything out and unpack the things that had been buried for the last couple of years.
Present day.. I still don’t have every suitcase of my life unpacked, sorted and neat. But the ones that have been unpacked and the ones that are in progress, I love to share it with the world. I am certain there are women who will relate to these suitcases and I want to be there to help them unpack!
