Refreshed: Resetting Your Mindset and Restoring Peace

Session 1: “Refresh Your Perspective: Changing Your Outlook”

Romans 12:2 (ESV)

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Our mindset is shaped by our environment and all the demands on us can leave us on empty with a dismal outlook. But laughter is good medicine. In this session, learn to laugh at the ways we think and how to refresh your perspective. Positive thinking is not enough to refresh our view, but righteous thinking is. Be refreshed as you lean on God’s understanding rather than your own and restore your joy.

Session 2: “Refresh Your Emotions: Renewing Your Mind”

 Proverbs 4:23 (GNT)

“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”

Do you feel stuck in your thoughts? Feel like you cannot overcome the struggle bus of emotions? Our thoughts shape our lives. God’s word holds the key to unlocking our thoughts and renewing our minds. His word transforms us, but we need to know how to rightly apply it. Renewing our minds is possible as we reset our mindset with God’s word.

Session 3: “Refresh Your Soul: Walking in the Spirit”

Romans 8:5 (ESV)

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.”

Life is hard and can deplete our hope of finding refreshment for our weary souls. Our expectations can lead us into discouragement but God’s expectations for us lead us to joy and hope. In this talk, learn Biblical and tactical strategies to confront negative mindsets and learn to walk in the Spirit rather than our old habits of walking in the flesh.

Session 4: “Make Up Your Mind: Having the Mind of Christ”

1 Corinthians 2:16 (ESV)

“’For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”

Christ came to give us an abundant life, but we don’t think we can choose it. We tend to believe the narrative in our minds, but we have the mind of Christ available to us. Learn how to release your way of thinking and adopt Christ’s.
