Not Called to Be Moses but Called By God: Three Monologues About Miriam
None of us are called to be Moses, but like Miriam we are called by God. Through these three monologues we learn that God sees, He cares, and He has called us.

The first of these three monologues, telling Miriam's story, leads up to Moses returning to Egypt from exile. Miriam battles with doubts as to whether God hears, cares, or has the power to do anything. It ends with the victorious, "God has NOT forgotten His people. Moses has returned."
The second monologue has Miriam realizing her physical leprosy springs from a spiritual leprosy of jealousy. It ends with God telling Miriam that she is not called to be Moses. But you are called.
The third monologue has Miriam telling how God parted the Red Sea and saved them from the Egyptian army. Like Miriam we can sing how God is our strength and song and has saved us from our personal Red Sea.
