Who or what are our biggest influencers? Who can we trust? How do we make right choices? We need wisdom to discern!

To find the answer to the question in the first paragraph of who can be trusted to help us make the right choice, we have two options. We can adopt worldly wisdom and values based on human understanding; or we can adopt godly wisdom and values based on spiritual understanding.
Worldly wisdom adopts and adapts to the viewpoint of the world and worldly principles picked up from just about anybody. It is the use of knowledge and information based on human understanding. But human thought and understanding changes with the culture. If human understanding was all I had to live by, I think I would be in a constant state of confusion!
Godly wisdom removes my confusion as I pursue God’s viewpoint and perspective. Godly wisdom helps us make decisions based not only on what is best for me, myself, and I, but what is best for others who may be impacted by my choices. That is a much better way of cultivating good relationships and securing a good future. Unlike the world’s shifting whims, God never changes.
Some pursue living their lives straddling the fence, with both worldly and godly views. Good luck with that conflicted thinking!
“Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them ...The beginning of wisdom is this: Getwisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:5-7
