Nothing is so freeing as beling able to forgive When we forgive several things happen. First, we free ourselves from anger, Second, we remove an obstacle between us and the Lord. Third, we serve notice to the enemy that he has no control over our lives. Fourth, it helps us win the battle in spiritual warfare.
Every evil, hurtful action is rooted in the enemy. He is alive and well, scouring the world for people to use for his nefarious purposes. Forgiveness is a weapon in our armory to defeat the enemy. Learning to forgive is an important step in becoming more like Jesus. Remember some of his final words included, "Father, forgive them..."
