Being All God Created Us to Be

Being All God Created Us to Be

Living in alignment with our God-ordained purpose is something we all strive for—whether we realize it or not. Deep down, we want our lives to matter. We yearn for our time on earth to be valuable, meaningful, and worthy.

Yet so often, we sabotage this pursuit by comparing our weaknesses to others’ strengths. We diminish our unique talents as insignificant while wishing we were more like “them.” We hide our flaws, showcasing only the parts of ourselves we believe are acceptable. Social media often magnifies this struggle, feeding our insecurities with a constant stream of curated perfection.

Our thoughts can become a toxic loop:

  • “She’s prettier.”
  • “She’s more talented.”
  • “Her family seems perfect.”
  • “If only my life looked like hers...”

This talk is a heartfelt reminder to every girl and every woman that they are fearfully and wonderfully made—created by God on purpose, with infinite value and unfathomable love.

We often believe the beautiful truths in God’s Word—for others, but not for ourselves. However, if God’s promises are true for one, they are true for all.

A Unique Perspective: Letting the Dishes Speak

Drawing from my background in mosaic art, I share this message in a fun and creative way: by letting dishes tell the story.

In mosaic art, broken dishes often find new purpose and beauty. In this talk, I present the King in His Kingdom, standing in a kitchen filled with all the dishes He created—each designed for a unique purpose. The dishes begin to speak, lamenting their limitations and wishing they were different, better, or more like others.

This whimsical metaphor reflects the struggles we all face with comparison and dissatisfaction, offering a fresh and relatable perspective on God’s truth.

Optional Add-On: Create Your Own Mosaic

To reinforce the message, participants can create a small mosaic using dishes. This hands-on activity provides a tangible reminder of the talk, symbolizing how God takes what feels broken and transforms it into something beautiful and purposeful.
