A spunky pastor's wife and ordained minister, Jeanette Levellie and her husband moved from Los Angeles to Paris, IL in 1999 to pastor Nevins Christian Church. They still don’t like the cold winters, but love the warm country people.
Jeanette speaks to a variety of venues, from ladies gatherings to church groups to civic clubs, She has been speaking publicly for three decades, offering humor and hope to every audience. Her warm, approachable style helps open hearts to whatever God has in store that day.
Jeanette authored a weekly humor/inspirational column, God is Greater, in her local newspaper for over sixteen years. She has published five books: Touchable God, Finding Friendship with God Through Prayer, Two Scoops of Grace with Chuckles on Top and The Heart of Humor: 60 Helpings of Hilarity to Nourish Your Soul, Hello, Beautiful: Finally Love Yourself Just as You Are, and Yes, You Can!: Overcome Crises with God's Help, the last two books co-authored with Beth Gormong.
Over two hundred of Jeanette's articles, stories, poems, and greeting card verses have been published by magazines, devotional books, and ezines such as Focus on the Family, Woman's World, Guideposts, CBN.com, Upper Room, Country, and Faith and Friends. She is a regular contributor to the Guideposts family of magazines and writes devotionals for their annual anthologies. Her favorite is Mornings with Jesus.
Jeanette is the mother of two grown children, three grandchildren, and servant to four cats. Her favorite sports are eating in restaurants, reading, gardening, shopping, and finding new ways to avoid housework.
